Strong in her belief of the power of the stage, she performs from her throne, singing the message of everyday people, everyday hope, and everyday love. What inspiration…Cheers!!!

Hmmmm…where do I start?

I’m not one to generally toot my own horn – oh let me stop the bs, yes I am!!! I love attention and that’s exactly what I got at The DC Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show.

Upon my arrival to The DC Convention Center, there was a camera crew from DC’s Channel 50 with on-air host/interviewer, Paul, all set up and ready to shoot my presentation in my designated seminar area.

As I crafted my cocktails, Paul interjected with questions and humorous antics to the delight of the boisterous crowd. Naturally, I kept the party going with an abundance of cocktail samples.

I guess the true validation of my performance came from the shows director who promptly expressed her joy over my crowd appeal, and immediately invited me back for a repeat performance next year…Yeah!!!

See you there next year!

Tales…Worked It!

August 2nd, 2008

This year’s Tales of the Cocktail proved to be an invaluable and informative getaway from NYC.  Networking with other established and up n‘ coming mixologists from every part of the country was also quite an experience.

Collectively, we partied, exchanged interesting new cocktail ideas, and toured classic taverns and bars in the French Quarter’s of New Orleans. Our usual meeting point was the historic Carousel Bar in The Monteleone Hotel, which was fortunately closely located to just about everything!

This event was like a one-stop-shop where I had the opportunity to not only meet and mingle with  other incredibly talented mixologists, but also member’s of the media, liquor distributors, restaurant and bar proprietors, and owners of various established and new products.

As you can imagine, I am certainly looking forward to next year’s festivities.  In the meantime, I’ll look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming New York City Wine & Food Festival.  Until then, cheers!
