The Icon
July 7th, 2009
What more can be said about “Michael Jackson”, arguably the greatest performer that has ever lived? Nothing!!!
Hence, let’s celebrate his legacy with my signature cocktail in his honor, “The Icon”, a well constructed blend of “Louis X111″, “Dom Perignon”, and “Grand Marnier 100″.
Enjoy it in the name of “Greatness” and remember to Smile.

A “Gin Sidecar”…A true classic gets a modern day face lift!!!
March 10th, 2009
Yes Indeed, I’m a fan of the classic Sidecar, after all it’s a great drink and it has a tremendous history to prove that fact.
Fast forwarding, I’ve been experimenting with Gin based cocktails, and decided to switch the cognac in A Sidecar to Gin. Going one step further, I introduced Combier, an orange based liquor…what a marriage!!! The juniper berries of Gin and the intense orange flavors of Combier appealed greatly to my taste bud.
Well, I’m waiting to hear what you think about my latest…
And as always, please remember to drink responsibly…Cheers!!!
Louis XIII by Remy Martin….Unmasked and Approachable!!!!
February 23rd, 2009
I had the wonderful and distinct pleasure of attending a Louis XIII tasting at The Hudson Bar conducted by the well seasoned Louis XIII – Brand Ambassador, Remi Brabant.
I will admit that my bar colleagues and I were just a touch intimidated by the presentation, but far more anxious to get a taste of a newly decanted bottle of Louis XIII. Even the opening of a new bottle of Louis XIII is presentational from it’s luxurious regal case packaging, and rare cognac resting in a uniquely hand blown Baccarat crystal…Simply Impressive!!!
Most notably, I learned that this enchanting cognac is a well crafted blend of 100’s of cognacs and that the maturing process takes 40 to 100 years in oak barrels, in it’s own cellar, under the strict supervision of a very experienced cellar master.
And for my younger, more hip, and trendy fans seeking contemporary references, examples are: Beyoncé in her video clip Naughty Girl, Lil Wayne in his song I Feel Like Dying (”Swimming laps around a bottle of Louis the XIII“) and Yung Joc in the song Buy U A Drank
If you wish to experience a concert of taste and aroma worthy of kings, then I invite you to visit me at The Hudson Bar, Saturday late nite, where you can get your “Grown and Sexy” on with me and the incomparable Louis XIII.
